Searcy School District set out to transform the lighting standards of its outdoor sports facilities—not just to save energy, but to enable extended usage and host high-visibility events across its football and baseball fields. Prior metal halide systems were falling short on uniformity, brightness, and reliability, especially under game-night conditions.
With growing participation in night practices and increasing expectations from the local community, the district needed a system that could elevate the safety, performance, and atmosphere of its athletic zones—without interrupting field availability or requiring complex structural changes.
The upgrade scope spanned multiple sports venues, each with unique field geometry and performance needs. Objectives included:
Enhancing light levels with field-specific beam angles
Minimizing glare for players, spectators, and officials
Reducing energy consumption while increasing optical efficiency
Integrating RGBW functionality for events and games
Executing installation with zero impact on field scheduling
IKIO engineered a system-wide lighting solution using a mix of high-output Dynamo 3 floodlights and Chromix RGBW fixtures. Pre-engineered layouts were developed for each sport facility to ensure beam accuracy, glare control, and energy-efficient coverage. Fixture mounting and aiming were pre-mapped by field and pole, allowing for quick installation and reduced adjustment time on site.
RGBW fixtures were installed at focal points for programmable lighting effects during special events, supporting branding and crowd engagement.
IKIO executed a performance-led lighting transformation across the football, baseball, and multi-use fields by delivering field-specific, precision-engineered LED solutions—all under a compressed schedule and budget-conscious scope.
The new layout significantly improved visibility ensured uniform lighting across critical zones, and reduced system complexity for the school’s maintenance teams.

“Before the upgrade, our fields didn’t look or feel like they were game-ready after dark. The lighting was uneven, and honestly, it limited how we used the space. Now, it’s a completely different story. Everything is bright, clear, and the difference is night and day—literally. Whether it’s a game, practice, or school event, the atmosphere feels energized and safe. Our teams and our community can finally enjoy the field the way it was meant to be.”
